I put the dots on the paper so B would know where to put the glue and the letters. Otherwise they would just end up in one big pile in the middle. I had B tell me if it was a "Big Capital letter" or a "little letter" and then I'd tell him which side to put it on. After awhile he could figure out what side the letters should go on by himself.
Another great thing about this activity is the different style of fonts that were cut out. This activity was a hit! Later in the day I got out upper and lowercase letter stickers to put on the chart but he wasn't as interested. I'm not sure if he was tired of the activity or if glue was the real hero here.
Thanks for the link but yours is WAY better!! In fact, I'm excited to try this out. I think she would like it more with more structure.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about you a lot and hope you're doing well!! I will email soon!
I like this. I am filing it away to use some day. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletethis looks fun and I especially like the guide glue dots--so key to making it turn out a bit more organized.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea. I have typed up fonts before to use for sorting but this looks so much more fun. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThese are all great ideas! I can tell you are a teacher. It never really gets out of your system, does it? I taught high school English, and I'm always having the urge to bust out my red pen. :P
ReplyDeleteWe will be doing this soon!
