Christmas Light ABC Activity Printable
We clipped the ABC lights, in order, onto a ribbon. Originally we clipped them from the top but the weight of the clothes pins kept flipping them over so B had the challenge of trying to clip them from the bottom. Around the letter S he started getting bored so we walked away from the activity. I'm going to leave it up for the rest of the day and hope he revisits it.
Other Variations of this Activity:
*Skip the clothes pins and put the Christmas lights in order on the floor.
*Hang the ABC lights from a child's personal tree or from the bottom branches and play "I-Spy the letter __" and have them find it.
*Clip the lights onto a string and tell your child to "Unclip the letter ___".
*Tape the letters to items in your home that begin with that letter and go on a Christmas Light Letter Hunt.
*Have your child pick out the letters that spell their name and glue them to a picture of a Christmas tree.
This is such a great idea - a fun way to keep the alphabet visible! You could do this with numbers, too! Or even with practicing the spelling of words. I linked to you over at my blog!
