Pretend Play - Grocery Store

For B's 3rd birthday, we built him this grocery store that was inspired by the Melissa and Doug version but was more budget friendly.

We used two shoe organizers (that we already had) for the bottom, a piece of shelf we stumbled upon at Lowes for the counter ($9.99) and shoe bins ($1 each) to organize the food.

A few extra special details are the hooks on the side for bags, price tags, a hat and nametag, and a sign (not shown). Hours of fun for a small price!

  6. How clever is this? I LOVE it. The fact that everything is in a bin that I can put a lid on & pack away makes it perfect for us since we only live in a small townhouse. Plus, it would go perfect with the stove I made for my son. Once I stock up on play food for him I am definitely doing this. Thanks for the awesome idea & for linking up today!
