Taking things out and putting them in is a great activity for motor skill development and lucky for us, babies love to do it!
N (6 months) is just starting to experiment with taking things out (and throwing them). So I gave her a few things to see what she would do. If the item in the cup was small, she'd just pick up the whole cup and if it was bigger she'd take the item out. What a fun and easy way to little hands busy and to have fun learning!
J-jo loves "taking things out" activities. It's fun though because at almost 12 months, he now likes to put things in too:)
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog through The Mom Loop! You have some great ideas! I am so glad, because I am always running out of ideas LOL. Hope you are having a great weekend!

They do love it!:)
ReplyDeleteGreat reminder! I need to pull out some stacking containers for in and out! We've been playing up and down this week. :) You are featured on my blog today.
ReplyDeleteWe love playing that game too. My little one likes to take blocks out of their container and chunk them across the room. We then pick them up, one by one, and throw them back into the basket.
ReplyDeleteShe also likes to dump things out.
