With the extra bottle tops I had, I drew fish on them and floated them in a bowl. I gave B a spoon with holes in it and he transferred them to another container. He also tried to transfer them with salad tongs. (Both ideas are great for motor skill developement!)
Then, I turned it into a listening activity by asking him things like, "Can you scoop out the top that has 2 fish on it?" or "Can you scoop out the mad fish?".
After we were done, B had a great time pretending he was making soup.
