Before you throw away the enormous amount of packaging that comes with Christmas gifts and packages, try a few of these activities.
Try bubble wrap painting. Dip pieces of bubble wrap into the paint and stamp them onto the page. Try different colors of paint and different shaped pieces.
Use part of a package to make an ISpy Window
Flatten a box and make a Poster Board Car Mat
Make a Styrofoam Robot
**Save a piece of bubble wrap (with the large bubbles) for a bubble wrap popping game that I'll be posting about soon.
We like to paint with the paper that comes with the packages. We made our gingerbread children that way and painted with our feet and wrote my daughter's name in large letters.

I like the styrofoam zoo! I'm pretty sure it wouldn't last long around here, but if would be fun for a couple days- we have a ton of little animal figurines!

Great ideas for using up all those packaging materials! This was one of my favorite posts for last week and I've linked up to it here: http://play2grow.blogspot.com/2010/12/weekly-favorites-for-december-26-2010.html
