Fezzy Wog, the Regreet Frog is a frog friend that appears in children’s books, kids’ cards, and party packs, giving many ways to catch a new frog friend and release a new adventure.
Using the online tracker, you can track your frog on the map and journal about it (even adding pictures if you want)! There are so many ways to make learning fun with your Fezzy Wog friend.

*You could send a Fezzy friend to your friend or family member and track where he is, add pictures, or write a story about what he is doing. The adventure would keep continuing.
*Take your frog with you on a summer vacation and keep an online summer journal about your adventures.
*Use a frog to track where you send Christmas Cards to this year and talk to your child about the different places that you know people, near and far, by looking at the map.
*Use a frog to track the settings of stories that you read.

B and I entered the zip codes of family and friends and tracked his frog on the map. B told me what his frog would be doing at each place (Grandma's house, friend's house, etc.) and I typed it in for him. So fun!
There are many Fezzy Wog products to choose from. You can purchase just a single Fezzy Wog friend or a party pack for your next birthday party. You can also get a frog at the end of the cute book "Catch and Release" (pictured left) or send it in a greeting card (right).
I think these are such an awesome gift, party favor, and learning tool!

I hadn't heard of this! Thanks for sharing! I have been looking for an idea to use google maps in my first grade room and this looks like a great one! I have sent flat stanleys in the past and incoroporated it with letter writing. I like the idea of each frog having it's own tracking code - it makes it a bit more interactive! I am definitely going to do this with my own boys at home too! - jan
ReplyDeleteThis is sooo cool! I love that it is especially geared towards young children. I have been interested in the tracking pogs that can be used for geo-caching, but this is too cool for the younger ones. We would love a chance to see how far he goes. Also a great chance to show how people from all over the world are inter-connected (we send it to one friend, they send it to a friend, they send it to a friend in another country, etc). Very, very cool!

I would love to use these for my girls. I have been thinking about starting a traveling journal to help them keep in touch with my husband's side if the family. This would be a perfect addition.
ReplyDeleteWe would use the Fezzy Wog to "visit" different friends and family all over the country. The Christmas card idea is a good one!

Does it use RFID or something to track? Sounds like a very cool idea. I think it would be fun to send them to family members and keep track of where they are. And one for us to track our journeys too. Great writing inspiration. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! I've never heard of this. I think it would be fun to send to friends and family out of state and map adventures. Is this similar to a "flat stanley" activity?

This is so fun. I am getting ready to do a pond unit at home and would love to include this fuzzy wog in the fun. I would love my first grader to have a reason to journal and this would be a fun companion for her. Thanks
