Toddler Activity - Window Clings

If you haven't tried window clings with your toddler yet, you are missing out! In this particular set that we got from the dollar spot at Target, there were pumpkins and apples of all sizes. Not only did N love to move them from window to window (30 minutes of fun), but it gave us a chance to talk about colors, size (big/small), and even try a little matching.

Other Ideas:
~Group by color
~Group by size
~Arrange them in a row (small, medium, large)
~Run and move them from one window to another across the house (relay style)
~Create a scene and make up a story about what is happening
~Use them for addition or subtraction practice

  1. We have a porch with many windows and often use window clings for holidays and every day. It's something my toddler and preschooler can do together. I wrote about it once here:

We also have some gel window clings that my toddler loves to play with and make patterns out of. We use our ABC set to practice CVC words, too.

  3. What an excellent idea. I've never seen them before, but will now look. Love the idea of teaching them colors and shapes while playing.
