Count Down to Christmas with Books - A Tradition

Christmas Tree Gifts Clip Art

My Time for Tots partner, Jill (from Shafer Family Blog), gave me the idea for this Christmas tradition. This is our second year doing it (in addition to our Activity Advent Countdown) and we LOVE it!

Collect all of your child's Christmas books and wrap them each individually. We put ours under the tree and each day, the kids pick one to unwrap and read. The last book we read on Christmas Eve. It is such a fun way to countdown to Christmas with books you already have. Only have 4 books? Countdown the last 4 days with them or check out a bunch from the library and use those. So fun!

  4. Such a fun idea. I just pulled all of ours out of storage and was wondering how I was going to do them. Wrapping is a perfect idea!
