We have crayon and marker EVERYWHERE (see the picture above)! I had to figure out a way to still give N a chance to color without worrying about crayon and marker lines.
I bought a tri-fold project board and put it on the floor for N to color on. Color on the paper or color on the board, it doesn't matter because it isn't on the floor or table.
When your child is old enough to color "responsibly" then turn your board into an Beginning Sounds Board.
