Toddler Activity - Matching Colors with Play Food

This toddler activity is great for matching, color identification, and vocabulary (food, names of objects, colors, etc.). 

I took three plates from the play kitchen and three pieces of play food that were the same color. We worked on matching the food to the plates by color and as we did that I talked about the colors and the type of food.  

Use what you have at home for this type of activity. Objects that your child loves to play with such as blocks, characters, cars, straws, or stickers work well with plates, cups, construction paper, craft foam, etc.
