Puzzle on the Go

I bought these puzzle cards a long time ago from the dollar spot at Target, but whenever we got them out to work with them it was too overwhelming (there are so many cards and each card has a picture on the front and back). Instead, I made this file folder puzzle (with just a few of the cards) so that B can work on it at home or on the go.

Puzzle on the Go Instructions:
Materials: file folder, cards, contact paper or laminating machine, velcro
1) Glue 2 out of 3 cards down, leaving just enough room for the missing card
2) After all of your groups are glued down, cover the file folder with clear contact paper.
3) Put a piece of the velcro on the back of the card and the other piece in the spot where it goes.
4) Adhere extra pieces of velcro at the bottom to store the pieces when they are not being used (or staple an envelope or bag for storage).

Even as this puzzle becomes too easy for B, I thought he would still have fun moving the pieces around on the velcro. He actually refuses to store the pieces on the extra velcro on the bottom. He says "That's not right. All those don't match." Ha ha! So I'm going to staple on an envelope or small bag to store the pieces in.

Don't have these cards, but still like the idea?? Glue pictures (photos or magazine pictures) onto index cards, cut them into thirds, and follow the rest of the instructions above.
