Quick Tip......
Mix 3 parts water and 1 part soap or shampoo into an old foam soap dispenser. Shake well. Then you've got a whole new bottle of foam soap or shampoo! Yahooooo!
For some reason, I feel like the foam soap and shampoo go farther than the regular stuff. When B's foam shampoo ran out I mixed 3 parts water and 1 part baby shampoo for N. It worked! Just a small amount of the shampoo turned into a whole bottle.
We use foam soap containers and fill them with warm water, adding two squirts (or morem if I'm not paying attention) of castille soap. One teeny bottle of castille lasts us (in the kitchen and bathroom) for several months.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great tip! My girls go through soap like crazy.

I dilute liquid soap that I buy by the gallon at about 10:1. That's just a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of soap in the container and water to the bottom of the foaming pump mechanism. Mix it up. It's still quite foamy and last FOR. EVER.
ReplyDeleteWe do this too...you don't need nearly 2:1 ratio you published here. I just put a small amount in the bottom of hand soap dispenser and fill w/water - I agree with Zekes mom on about 1/4-1/2 inch in the bottom of the foam dispenser. I have not bought hand soap in over a year.
ReplyDeleteI will try this with Shampoo now too. Will make it easier to distribute in my squirmy childs hair!
Cool! I will have to try this! The girls love using foam soap.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I love that it stretches the life of the soap!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a truly fab tip!! I will be using that tomorrow! We are low on a foam dispenser, and I was thinking about what to replace it with. Now I can just make my own foam. Thanks:)
ReplyDeleteThis is so good to know! I'm totally trying this.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. Thanks.
