We had movie night with a muffin tin dinner, picnic style on a blanket in the living room. It was so much fun. Next time, I'll leave the m&ms off the tray until after the meal. I can't wait to see the other muffin tin meals this week for some inspiration!

ReplyDeleteI THINK I got them at hobby lobby or michaels??? I honestly can't remember, but I remember that they were on clearance which is why I ended up getting them. =)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! This was a great way to serve dinner for a movie night. I love you pond friend tins too.
ReplyDeleteLove it! We just got those same cups at Ross, I think. Were yours a 4 pack with a purple bug too? My daughter found them and we had to have them!
ReplyDeleteI love your veggie tray idea too!
I can't put dessert on the tray til after the meal, either. It just doesn't work well.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to check Michael's for those cups. Adorable!
Hi Nicole,
ReplyDeleteMaking dinner fun for kids is a great way to encourage family time and to healthy eating. Neither adults nor kids could resist such a charming meal! I love that there’s a little of everything in those muffin tins. But perhaps Monday meals could go a step further and get the kids involved in cooking and setting up meals. What better way is there to have fun with your kids while teaching them valuable skills at the same time? That’s why I work for the Healthy Monday campaigns, which just launched a new program. The Kids Cook Monday aims to encourage families to cook and eat together every Monday. Research shows that children from families who cook and eat together often are less likely to be obese, eat a more nutritious diet and get better grades in school. To see more on the benefits of family dinners, check out The Kids Cook Monday site (http://www.healthymonday.org/the-kids-cook-monday/)
We’re looking for blogs and websites to take on the challenge of starting each week with family dinners and post about their experiences each Monday. If you’re interested in participating please email me at TheKidsCookMonday@gmail.com.
