I'm always looking for fun things to make with the kids and this was definitely fun... and MESSY! The good thing (other than the fact that it DOES clean up easily) is that you only need TWO ingredients:
Equal parts shaving cream and corn starch.
I gave each kiddo a bowl with the two ingredients and they set to work, mixing and kneading.
We put WAY too much cornstarch (as evidenced in this picture!) so we just kept adding shaving cream. But, the more you work it, a solid begins to form.
It feels very similar to moon sand (I think that's what it's called?) and the kids LOVED it.
Some things I learned:
Steer clear of playing near grout. We have granite tile countertops and despite my best cleaning efforts, the grout it still white. Ha! I'll keep cleaning.
Easy on the cornstarch.
Add measuring cups, spoons, cookie cutters, and even food dye for added fun!
