Learning Colors with the Elevator Game

Practice identifying colors with this simple and fun elevator game!

How to Play:
  • Print the color elevator buttons (below) and put a copy at the top and bottom of the stairs or at an entrance to a room. 
  • Decide on the color of the day. When you are going up the stairs, push the color of the day and the up button. When you are going down the stairs, push the color of the day and the down button.

  1. This is a great idea. I just recently found your blog and I love that your activities are relatively easy to do. I am thinking of doing a variation of this with my 13 month old. I am thinking of starting with only 3 or 4 colors and maybe doing a color of the week at first for more repetition. Thanks again!

    1. That is a great idea! Give her a choice of 3 or 4 and have her pick the one that goes along with the color you are working on.

      Another reader had an idea about collecting things that are that color at the top of the stairs.
