Originally, my big idea was to have B tell me a story about each one and I would write it for him on the back. However, it didn't really work out that way. B didn't want any part of telling or seeing a story written.
So instead I just asked questions along the way to get him talking about his pictures. I asked questions like, "What are those people doing in that tree? Are they afraid? How did they get up there?" or "Why are the cats on the roof? Are they friends with the dogs?" and "What are those people doing in the boat? Do you think they like fish or turtles better?".
This was a fun activity and there are enough stickers in the package to do it many more times.
What an awesome idea! I love how you drew the scenes. Maddie would really enjoy that. I think it'd make a great activity pack for her, too.
ReplyDeleteOff to dig up our many foam stickers! :)
I like this idea a lot, and my drawing skills are at about your level. I also happen to have the same set of stickers. Another great idea from your blog, I am glad that I finally follow you in my Reader.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea. What a fun way to use the stickers. I have some under the sea ones from Juliet's b-day party that I need to find a use for. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love those people stickers!
ReplyDeleteWe just bought the same stickers! Here's what I did with my 20 month old with them: http://earlymotherhood.blogspot.com/2010/01/foam-sticker-sorting.html
ReplyDeleteI'll have to do this next. Thanks!
