Turn Greeting Cards into Puzzles

kids crafts

Do you still have Christmas cards around? If so, take one and give this activity a try (If not, Valentines Day will be here soon and you could use one of those). This Santa card was perfect to make a simple puzzle out of. I cut it into 4 pieces and modeled for Blake how to put it together. We took turns and completed it a few times.

After awhile to make it more challenging I cut it into 8 pieces. Either it was too many pieces or B was already bored of the activity because he wasn't as interested. Overall, I'm happy with how quick and easy this was to put together and how it captured B's interest.

I got this idea from Chasing Cheerios.

  2. We loved this when we did it as well! It is great to reuse things that would just end up in the trash!

  6. Oh wow, my Mum used to do this for us when we were younger and I had completely forgotten about it. What a great memory to have back.
