Remember blow up furniture? So fun! I had a reading center in my classroom with blow up furniture in it one year. This bubble wrap pillow reminded me of that so we made one.
Materials:
a piece of bubble wrap
scraps of paper
packaging tape
Directions:
Fold a piece of bubble wrap in half and tape the sides with packaging tape. Find colorful, recyclables to fill the pillow. (We used wrapping paper, wrappers, and pages from coloring books.) Seal the top with packaging tape.
This was fun to make and it was fun to play with for a day or two. I didn't feel bad when we ended up recycling it a few days later. It was more about the process then it was about the product for us.
Bubble wrap has so many wonderful uses.

I love this idea! It'd be great for any reading area or a house keeping area too. I like how it's a way to recycle some scrap materials as well. I've included this post in my weekly favorites here: http://play2grow.blogspot.com/2011/01/weekly-favorites-for-january-30-2011.html
