Yesterday we sorted coins so I decided to help B figure out how many of each coin are in a dollar.
I created this How Many in a Dollar printable and it worked great!
Just print and sort the quarters, nickels, and dimes onto the dollars. The circles aren't the exact size of the coins, but close.
Here is the How Many in a Dollar Printable.

ReplyDeleteReally great idea :) Whenever we find coins around our house, my son and I always talk about coin names and values. He has to tell me the coin name and value for the coin we found before he can put it in his piggy bank. This is a great way to build on that practice.

ReplyDeleteThat's a cool idea! I think I'll trace around actual coins on an actual dollar, and make this a math activity for my homeschooling kiddos.
