Tricks to Get Kids to Eat Healthy

I've discovered it can be very tricky to get my kids to eat healthy with their different preferences and particular likes/dislikes. B isn't a fan of meat and N doesn't prefer dairy. N likes flavor and B picks bland things.

So I've had to break out a few tricks to introduce and to keep offering healthy foods.

1) Muffin Tin Meals (example pictured above) are perfect for serving and trying new things in a fun way.

2) Dipping - My kids love to dip things and have tried different veggies and foods if there is a dip with it.

What tricks or special recipes do you use to get your kids to eat healthy foods?

  1. We do a lot of make your own meals ... I posted about it ages ago. Where I put out a selection of ingredients and the kids can make up their own food - pizza with the toppings, taco's, wraps, sushi.

Playing with food is fun so I try to entice them to try new things through offering more choice and freedom to put what they want on their plates.
