I stumbled upon this activity here and immediately printed it out. It is supposed to be a file folder game (which would be great for traveling or a Busy Bag) but I wanted to play it right then (I'm totally impulsive) so I just cut them out into cards.
The card will show a certain amount (no more than 3) small apples and you match the larger apples to make that combination. In the picture above, the simpler matches are shown but it gets tricker (example: 2 light green apples and a yellow apple). In between games we sorted all of the larger apples into piles by color.
