You Call THIS an Activity???

We did this activity a few months ago and I never wanted to post it because I thought it was a little lame to actually be considered an "activity". However, I figured since it involved paper, glue, one-to-one correspondance practice, and letters that those things made it official and EVERY mom needs a quick and easy activity that doesn't require a lot of prep work.

I cut the letter B out of the Sunday ads and had B glue them on a grid. (actually I put the glue dots on the paper for him) This is back when he was first learning his letters and B was his favorite one for obvious reasons. I thought it would be good for him to see that letter in different fonts.

Other Variations/Difficulty Levels:

*Cut out all of the letters of the alphabet and write a different letter in each square of the grid. Have your child glue the matching letter in each box.

*Write the names of your family in different squares of the grid (make a bigger grid than pictured above) and cut out the corresponding letters (or have your child do it if appropriate). Have your child find and glue the letters under each name to practice identifying and spelling your family names.
