I found this parking lot activity on
Little Family Fun (I told you I love to try her ideas!). This is a great way to practice identifying numbers. I quickly made the piece of paper into a parking lot and put numbers in the parking spots. We had fun driving the cars around and telling each other which spot to park our cars in. This activity was really about pretending and spending time playing together with the added bonus of practicing our numbers.
Chasing Cheerios recently featured a
Domino Parking Lot Game which is very similar except you use dominos for cars and count the dots on the dominos to see where to park. I like that idea too because it combines counting and number identification in one game.
This will be a great addition to our c is for cars set. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea. I need to start a notebook with all of the great ideas I'd like to do with my little man someday- he's 3 months old this week!

Man this really would be great for math practice. You could use all sorts of different numbers..... hmmmm..... now I'm thinking, and that's never good.
