Look in each telescope and name the letter constellation that you see!
These are so fun to explore with and so easy to make!
Materials:
toilet taper tubes
black or dark blue construction paper
rubber bands
pin
Make Your Own:
- Tightly wrap the top of each toilet paper tube with a piece of construction paper (approximately 7"x9").
- Secure the paper with a rubber band.
- Use a pin to poke holes in letter formations. Don't forget that many of the letters will need to be formed backwards so that they are the right way when you look into the telescope.
- For older children, write the letter on the paper and let them poke the paper along the lines. (Similar to our Holes in the Alphabet activity.)
- Decorate your telescopes.
I've already pinned this, but I had to stop by and tell you how awesome this activity is! I know my son and my preschool kiddos will love making these. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! We've had so much fun with it. Love that it is made from toilet paper tubes. =)
DeleteI love this activity and my sons would too. It's perfect for kids working on letter recognition! I'd love it if you'd link this up to the After School Linky Party on my blog right now (and every Monday): deceptivelyeducational.blogspot.com. I hope you'll make the party a regular stop in your weekly blog surfing!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, I'll head over and link it up. Thanks for the reminder....=)
DeleteI'm the Editorial Assistant for Fun Family Crafts and we would love to feature this project! To do so, we would need a clean photo (no text except a watermark and no borders, etc). If you are interested, please email me at cindy.derosier at gmail.com. Thank you!
