Yesterday we counted straws into these plastic pumpkins.
During this activity I couldn't help but wonder what else you could do with these little plastic pumpkins.
Use the same format as pictured above but with rhyming words, word families, syllables, beginning/middle/end sounds, or money. The possibilities are endless!
Try this Jack O Lantern Addition from The First Grade Parade.
Develop motor skills with Spooning Corn from Olives and Pickles
Use them in a Sensory Tub like they did at Motherhood Moments.

How have you used these pumpkins? Leave a link in the comments and I'll include it.
I love the math activities.
ReplyDeleteI put one in Little man's Halloween Sensory Bin. He loved filling it up with beans and dumping it back in his bin. :) Great ideas!
ReplyDeleteYou could use them to act out the "Five Little Pumpkins sitting on the Gate" rhyme.

I love these little pumpkins. I think we should try the spooning activity at our house. Thanks for the ideas.
ReplyDeleteI have a past post with lots of pumpkin ideas. In the middle of the post is a little game we played using the mini plastic pumpkins
