I found the idea for Magnetic Pom Poms at Home Grown Hearts. I fell in love with these and all of the things they can be used for. To be honest, I was debating on whether to make them because I knew I'd be bummed if I spent time making them and then they just ended up all over the house. I decided to go for it and I'm so glad that I did! They didn't take long to make and B has had so much fun with them.
We've used them on magnetic pages from Making Learning Fun (pictured on the left).
We've used them on our number families from Home Grown Hearts (middle).
We've even used them to make patterns on the fireplace (right).
We've used them for Gumball Machine Counting practice from At Home with Mama Skyla

Thanks for dropping by! I like the pom pom idea too, but I can just see them all over the house along with the other creations my kids have made!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. These are such a neat idea! My girls love any kind of magnets. I will have to try and make these for them.

Looks like fun activities! I will go check out the tutorial.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love the added texture to the activity.
ReplyDeleteWe have pom poms all over the house that are just screaming for a use. We bought them to be pretend cooking food, but they've really been used more like 4th of July fireworks. I may have to try this and see if we can get them back on my good side again.

This is such a cute idea. My daughter would love this. She would love creating these magnets and made endless creations with them. My son, however, is a bit small to have the choking hazard around so we're going to have to wait on these.
